October 31st

October 31st is a year-round Halloween online shop based in the UK. It imports a lot of its stock from the USA. I have made several orders from there as their wide range includes hard-to-find decor items, homewares and a brilliant selection of spooky accessories.

I have previously written about Halloween Candy from the USA which I bought from October 31st, but the shop sells much more than just sweets. The range includes pins, patches, homeware, stationary, bags and decorations, all aimed at helping you celebrate Halloween 365 days a year. Some of the brands represented there are Bethany Lowe Designs and Beistle (US producers of vintage and vintage-style Halloween decorations), Kreepsville 666, Sourpuss, Grindstore and Alchemy England (well-known and established alternative clothing, homeware and jewellery companies) and lots by individual, independent artists and craftspeople like Rhode Montijo, Meagan Meli and Kris Miners.

The owner of October 31 - Spooky Wil - is a huge fan of the 1993 film, Hocus Pocus, and the shop sells their own unique items under the brand 'Black Cats and Witches and Stuff'. Most of these are inspired by the movie, including tombstone pillows based on the graves of William (Billy) Butcherson and Emily Binx. You'll see the latter in my pictures, below. Wil also has a personal website and writes a blog about all things spooky and Halloween-related.

Many of the things I have purchased from October 31st are shown below. I've had some of the decorations, candy, socks, pins, stationary, a Sourpuss blanket and a Grindstore mug, amongst other bits.

If you think everyday is Halloween, and it shouldn't be confined to October, please visit the October 31st website to see if there's anything you like. It's a great shop, run by someone who is truly passionate about the Spooky Season.
